GIG strengthens sports offering through agreement with RunningBall
24 January, 2018Gaming Innovation Group Inc. (GIG) has completed a deal with Perform, the leading digital sports content and media group. The deal is an important building block in GIG’s initiative towards launching GIG Sports as a serious challenger to the supply side of the sports betting industry.
GIG Sports will launch ahead of the FIFA World Cup and consists of a product portfolio containing aggregated and in-house generated odds & data services, trading and risk management platform, business intelligence (BI) and marketing platform as well as mobile first front-end technology. All services can be sold stand alone or as a turnkey solution and will be fully integrated with GIGs platform services.
Perform Group collect, produce, package and distribute data, editorial and video for professional sports competitions globally. The company owns RunningBall and Opta, two of the world’s leading sports data brands.

GIG and Perform Group have entered into a long-term agreement under the terms of which RunningBall will provide GIG with data from international sports events. GiG will use the data to provide odds services to its B2B clients and own brands. As part of the deal, Perform has taken over a network of scouts in Norway from GIG, all of whom have been fully vetted and assessed against RunningBall’s industry-leading standards and engaged directly by RunningBall to bolster official coverage significantly.
