The Role
A Content Team Lead will contribute to Gentoo media’s mission of growing and developing its online gambling affiliate business by overseeing and managing the operational aspects of running its entire portfolio of websites. Content Team Leads will be tasked with creating strategies in collaboration with the SEO team, with a view to realizing the strategic objectives of the Publishing department, i.e. defending, growing and diversifying the business, as they relate to content, SEO, human resources, processes, and procedures. Furthermore, A Content Team will be the key person in charge of the training, developing, and motivating their team. Additional responsibilities include day to day people management and development as well as continuous optimisation of Gentoo media P&L in collaboration with the rest of management in Gentoo media. The Content Team Lead will be reporting directly to the Senior Content or SEO Team Lead.
What you will be doing:
- Lead their team to define and implement on-page and off-page SEO strategies for each website under their supervision
- Assist and train their team to review content to ensure that all content follows guidelines and is aligned with standards and guidelines provided by Head of Publishing and Head of SEO.
- Oversee the launch of new projects, websites and/or website languages with the aim of contributing to the diversification of our business
- Proactively work with their team on checklists of items provided by the Head of Publishing and SEO to be implemented across all websites
- Collaborate with the HR team to work on career development plans for all their team members
- Work closely with the Talent Acquisition and HR teams to execute the hiring plan and solve issues related to underperforming team members, this also includes holding annual reviews for all team members
- Attend monthly meetings for all units assigned to them, and assist team members in creating slidedeck
- Suggest improvements in processes and productivity optimisation
- Hold knowledge sharing sessions within their team and actively participate in other training and development opportunities
- Actively work on developing their leadership and people management skills both independently and as part of courses and/or events organized by the company
Technical responsibilities
- Ensure that all necessary SEO and content checks are performed prior to website launches or redesigns and potential issues are fixed before going live
- Monitor and report to the Head of Publishing and the wider management team on the status of traffic and rankings for all websites, as well as on the progress made with achieving our strategic objectives
- Ensure that our websites meet the latest compliance requirements stipulated by our partners and regulatory bodies and oversee all required updates
Who we are looking for:
- At least 1 years+ experience of working in a people management role within SEO or Content Marketing
- Experience of working within the online gaming industry is considered an advantage
- Advanced understanding of technology and how it impacts SEO and Content Marketing
- Advanced knowledge of CMS
- Advanced regulatory and compliance knowledge
- Able to analyze past performance and create forecasts
- Advanced understanding of the market and the competition
- Strong analytical skills and attention to details
- Experienced in monitoring team performances, and providing feedback
- Strong problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Keeping up to date with all the latest changes in their markets and in the wider gambling industry
- Strong organizational skills
- Openness to and desire for innovation
